Our Vision

The Historic Church Conservancy of Fremont County has a bold dream: to save historical church buildings in rural and small urban communities from dereliction and dilapidation by the responsible preservation and repurposing of these buildings. We will create customized plans for each historical building we own in which sanctuaries and historically important spaces are preserved while auxiliary spaces are repurposed for wider community usage. We will create a Board of Directors who model quality, flexibility, respect, and creative thinking. We aim to be a model organization, well–known in our community and beyond as a resource for helping churches with historical buildings, whether this involves the transfer of ownership, or the issuance of grants for renovations.
